Overview
Scientific Days El Hamma is a five-day event focused on promoting science and technology among young people. Organized by Robotic Club El Hamma in collaboration with :
the event offers a series of interactive workshops designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and build technical skills in participants.
Our goal is to create an environment where youth can explore scientific disciplines through hands-on activities and real-world applications.
Participants
Each edition of Scientific Days El Hamma brings together around 60 participants, ranging in age from 6 to 18 years old.
Participants are distributed across multiple workshops based on their interests and skill levels, ensuring a tailored and engaging learning experience for everyone.
The diversity in age groups and backgrounds creates a dynamic environment where younger participants are inspired by their older peers, and everyone benefits from a collaborative learning atmosphere.
Activities
Throughout the event, a wide range of workshops are conducted, covering essential fields of science and technology:
- Robotics Workshops:
Building and programming robots, introducing participants to basic mechanics and coding. - Astronomy Workshops:
Exploring the universe, learning about stars, planets, and space science through interactive sessions and telescope observations. - Android Development Workshops:
Teaching the fundamentals of mobile app development on the Android platform. - Internet of Things (IoT) Workshops:
Introducing participants to smart technology, sensors, and networked devices. - Scratch Programming Workshops:
Guiding younger participants to learn coding through the visual, beginner-friendly Scratch platform. - Web Development Workshops:
Providing an introduction to building websites using HTML, CSS, and basic programming principles. - Design Workshops:
Fostering creativity by teaching graphic design fundamentals and the use of digital design tools.
Each workshop is crafted to be hands-on, allowing participants not just to learn, but to build, experiment, and innovate.
My Roles and Responsibilities
Organizer — March 2022
As an Organizer of the Scientific Days El Hamma in 2022, I was responsible for:
- Defining the overall goals and objectives of the event.
- Designing the structure and schedule of activities across the five days.
- Assigning specific roles and tasks to different teams and volunteers.
- Coordinating with partner organizations and workshop leaders to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Ensuring that logistical and technical requirements were prepared ahead of time.
This role required careful planning, strong leadership, and continuous communication to deliver a smooth and impactful event for all attendees.
General Supervisor — September 2017
As a General Supervisor, my main responsibilities included:
- Overseeing the daily operations of all workshops, ensuring that sessions started on time and ran effectively.
- Monitoring the progress of each group, providing support to workshop leaders, and solving any logistical or operational issues.
- Maintaining high standards of educational quality and participant engagement.
- Ensuring achievement of goals, with a focus on both participant satisfaction and learning outcomes.
This role placed me at the heart of the event’s execution, requiring agility, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset to adapt to the fast-paced environment.
Impact and Reflections
Volunteering in Scientific Days El Hamma has been one of the most enriching experiences of my personal and professional journey.
It allowed me to contribute to my community by empowering young minds with scientific knowledge and technical skills. Witnessing participants discover new passions, create projects, and grow more confident has been incredibly rewarding.
Moreover, this experience helped me strengthen essential skills such as:

- Crisis management and quick decision-making
- Effective communication across multidisciplinary teams
Today, the lessons I learned during Scientific Days continue to influence how I approach challenges, manage teams, and lead initiatives in my career.
